Father Matthew Moretz

Father Matthew's Channel on YouTube
Matthew Moretz is the creator of Fr. Matthew Presents, a video blog on YouTub.com (a link can be found above) where he dishes out religious and social commentary in humor-wrapped video shorts set to a backdrop of edgy rock music. While he is entertaining people, Moretz hopes to spread faith teachings and draw people back to the church. The website Anglicans Online recently wrote that Father Matthew Presents is "brimming with youth, creativity, and humor...addictive, like good candy."
Moretz was ordained as an Episcopal Priest in the summer of 2006 and orks as the curate at Christ Church in Rey, NY. He recently served at St. Paul's in Yonkers, NY where he began his ministry on the Internet.
His faith journey began at the Church of the Good Shepherd in August, GA. He recalls having some excellent mentors as an adolescent and discerned a called to the priesthood during and after his undergraduate at Davidson College. He received his MDiv from GTS. Matthew is married to Melinda, a clinical psychologist and they care for two cats that need all the help they can get.

Youth Formation in the 21st Century

with

Jenifer Gamber

This one-day workshop will gather youth leaders in parishes and at the diocesan level to re-imagine a ministry to youth in the 21st century that sustains and honors community. How do you feed yourself as a youth leader? How do you feed your program? How can we nurture a space that invites teens to explore a living relationship with the Holy within community? What spiritual practices will sustain teens and their faith in a post-modern world? Together we will learn habits of community that honor God, self and neighbor in an increasingly dynamic world.

When: Saturday, June 7, 2008, 9:30 – 3:00 pm

Where: St. Martin’s, Williamsburg
